Metro Bank Transforms Its Red Logo to Rainbow in Celebration of Pride Month | Fintech Finance

Metro Bank, the UK’s best community bank, will officially celebrate the LGBTQ+ community when its distinctive red logo turns rainbow and messages supporting Pride month appear in stores from June 7th.

Metro Bank’s colleagues have also been invited to participate in its second COVID friendly virtual Pride Parade sharing photos and videos of their Pride celebrations.

“Along with many other household name brands, we believe it’s important to recognise and celebrate our LGBTQ+ communities,” said Jess Myers, Metro Bank’s Brand & Marketing Director.  “Our distinctive red M is integral to our brand identity and transforming it into rainbow colours for the month of June feels like a truly inclusive way to signal our support for Pride. Although Pride month is a time to celebrate, we also use this time to reflect on the discrimination and phobia that the LGBTQ+ community have faced and still face across the world today.” 

Metro Bank colleagues will celebrate Pride across the month of June as Pride runs from June 1st – June 29th.
