Digital banking leader joins untied as Chief Product Officer | Fintech Finance

untied, the UK’s personal tax app, today announced that it has hired Paul Loberman, a senior banking executive, as its Chief Product Officer.

Paul most recently worked at HSBC as Global Head of Digital for the bank’s business banking proposition, driving digital strategy and product delivery across 10 countries.  He started his career at Barclays, and went on to lead teams across digital transformation, consultancy, innovation and digital products at Santander, working in both the UK and US.

At untied, Paul will be responsible for product strategy and product delivery and will be part of the leadership team, helping the business build its product with the aim of helping millions of people.

Paul Loberman, Chief Product Officer, untied, said: “The world of taxes is changing.  untied is at the forefront, breaking new ground as a taxtech leader.  The business has major opportunities from open data, the use of APIs and enhanced automation.  This is parallel to the change we have seen in the fintech space over the last ten years.  With a strong technical background and a great founding team, this is an exciting time to be joining untied.  I’m raring to go and look forward to working with everyone.”

Kevin Sefton, CEO at untied, commented: “We’ve always had great people working with untied, and we’re now delighted to welcome Paul to the team.  His appointment is recognition of the role that taxes play in the next generation of business banking. Paul brings a wonderful combination of global fintech knowledge, experience, relationships and a desire to get involved in the detail.  All this is underpinned by a drive to deliver powerful products that are slick and easy.”

Paul lives in St Albans with his family and sits on the National Council of the British Tenpin Bowling Association.
